Celebrate L.A.’s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from May through October. This week, join us for a concert with Munyungo’s Jungle Jazz.
Percussionist, composer, arranger, producer, author and four-time Grammy winner Darryl Munyungo Jackson possesses an ever-increasing repertoire of instruments with which to execute his craft. Munyungo has toured the word and recorded with such artists as Stevie Wonder, the Miles Electric Band, Keb’ Mo, Sting and Dianne Reeves. His group Jungle Jazz is a mixture of African, Latin and Caribbean grooves complemented by America jazz roots.
