Accessible Drop-off

The most convenient location to drop off a guest who may have limited mobility is on Wilshire Blvd. and S. Ogden Dr.,  in front of Urban Light, pending ongoing Metro construction.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking is available in the underground Pritzker Parking Garage off Sixth St. (one block east of Fairfax Ave.). These parking spots are located on P1, adjacent to the elevators. Accessible parking is offered for standard, van, and electric vehicles.

Four spots on P2 of Pritzker Parking Garage near the elevators are reserved for pregnant people and families traveling with small children.

Accessible Public Transportation

Please visit Metro for more information.

Accessible Restrooms

Every restroom at LACMA is wheelchair accessible. Restrooms are located in the Resnick Pavilion and BCAM Levels 2 and 3.

Wheelchairs at LACMA

Every gallery, restroom, dining service, and outside space at LACMA is wheelchair accessible. Complimentary wheelchairs are available at the Ticket Office during regular operating hours, first come, first served.

Motorized wheelchairs are welcome.

Quiet Times to Visit

The museum is quietest between 1 to 4 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please note that weekends and holidays can be very crowded.

Museum Seating

Benches are located throughout galleries in both BCAM and the Resnick Pavilion. Outdoor seating is available with tables and chairs offered in the Smidt Welcome Plaza as well as benches located along Kendall Concourse and throughout the LACMA campus.

Service Animals

Service animals are always welcome at LACMA. If you are visiting the museum with a service animal, please be sure to pick up a wristband at entry so our security officers know you are visiting the galleries with an approved service animal. Pets are not allowed inside buildings at LACMA.

Information in Accessible Formats

Visitors are encouraged to bring headphones to the galleries to enjoy unique, in-gallery tours, music, and other multimedia content on their personal devices.

Some galleries offer large-print labels and other additional information in accessible forms. Please feel free to ask any visitor service associate or security officer when visiting the galleries.
