Welcome to LACMA!
Our galleries are open and our outdoors spaces are filled with art, live music, art-making activities for all ages, fine and casual dining, and quiet spots to relax. Located in the center of Los Angeles, LACMA is here for your inspiration and discovery.
The museum’s first priority is the health and safety of our visitors, staff, and volunteers. Please do not visit if you are sick and always practice frequent hand sanitizing. Wearing a mask indoors is strongly recommended.
We hope you enjoy your visit!
Construction Update
Our east campus is currently under construction with our new building for the permanent collection—the David Geffen Galleries. With nearly 90% of construction finished, major construction is projected to be completed by the end of 2024. The opening of the David Geffen Galleries is anticipated to be April 2026.
Our west campus is open with exhibitions in BCAM and the Resnick Pavilion, which include artworks from the museum's permanent collection.
