Join John Mulchaey, director of Carnegie Observatories, for a discussion of 20th- and 21st-century astronomical discoveries during a walkthrough of the exhibition Mapping the Infinite: Cosmologies Across Cultures.
Dr. Mulchaey is President of Carnegie Science, one of the oldest scientific organizations in the country, founded in 1902 and known for its great research in the physical sciences and life sciences. Dr. Mulchaey is also a noted astronomer and director of Carnegie Science Observatories, a department of Carnegie Science. The Observatories is world-renowned for landmark discoveries in every area of modern astronomy–from Edwin Hubble's finding of galaxies beyond our Milky Way, to black holes, the evolution of the cosmos, gravitational waves, and more.
