Ubermorgen Meets Halt and Catch Fire

Swiss-Austrian-American artist duo UBERMORGEN and writer cum producers Chris Cantwell and Chris Rogers discuss media hacktivsim in practice and as depicted in
popular culture.

Inspired by the Viennese Actionist movement, UBERMORGEN’s video, code, and online performances take place at the intersection of global financial, governmental, and gaming structures. The artists live and work in Vienna. Cantwell and Rogers are each creator, executive producer, and writer on the American period drama Halt and Catch Fire. The show follows the early 1980s hacker culture on the Silicon Prairie of Texas at the dawn of the personal computer revolution.
