Celebrate L.A.’s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from May through October.
This week, join us for a concert with the Bob Mintzer Big Band.
The Grammy Award winning Bob Mintzer Big Band opens the 2024 Jazz at LACMA season. Mintzer, a 30-year member as saxophonist with the Yellowjackets, is also the chief conductor of the WDR Big Band in Cologne Germany.
He has played on over 1,000 recordings and has performed with Tito Puente, Thad Jones Mel Lewis Big Band, Eddie Palmieri, Jaco Pastorius, Randy Brecker, and the New York Philharmonic.
Jazz at LACMA is free and open to all. Seating is limited and first come, first served. Visitors are encouraged to wear face masks in all indoor spaces including restrooms.
