Teen art classes, designed especially for this age group, present fundamental approaches to art. Students learn a variety of techniques and develop their own styles.


Weekend Classes

Life Drawing
Five Sundays, October 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7 | 12:30–3:30 pm

Develop your drawing and painting skills while working from a costumed figure model. Work with a variety of materials on paper, including inks, acrylic paints, and pastels in this fun and lively class. Taught by artist Rosanne Kleinerman.
NexGen and LACMA members $160; nonmembers $170
Art materials and parking fees included in tuition; limited enrollment.

Digital Photography
Five Saturdays, November 13, 20, December 4, 11, 18 | 11 am–2 pm

Learn to use your digital camera and to incorporate the essential elements of art such as composition, framing, point of view, and symbolism in your photographs. Inspired by LACMA's permanent collection and creative assignments. Explore the art of photography and visual storytelling. With artist Paola M. Davila.
NexGen and LACMA members $160; nonmembers $170

No prior art-making experience is necessary.

To enroll, call the LACMA box office at 323 857-6010 or send in the Class Enrollment Form.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment is limited to 12 participants.

All art supplies will be provided for the class.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes.

Refunds will only be granted if the class is canceled. Refunds cannot be given in the case of a missed class or if you elect to withdraw from the class after it has begun.
