LACMA Appoints Isha Ambani, David Kaplan, Wendi Murdoch, Andy Song, and Maggie Tsai to its Board of Trustees

(Los Angeles, November 1, 2024)—The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) announces the election of a dynamic group of five new members to its board of trustees: Isha Ambani, David Kaplan, Wendi Murdoch, Andy Song, and Maggie Tsai. They bring to LACMA a broad range of experience in fields including retailing, digital communications, finance, and entertainment, backgrounds in communities on both sides of the Pacific Rim, and histories of deep involvement in the arts and philanthropy. The appointment brings the total number of voting trustees to 58, in addition to eight individuals honored as life trustees.

The appointments have been announced as LACMA moves into the final phase of construction of its new David Geffen Galleries, the project that will complete the institution’s two-decade plan of expanding and enhancing its campus on Wilshire Boulevard. The David Geffen Galleries will open in April 2026.
