Join us for a three-part workshop series led by choreographer Becky Peach that will explore the vibrant history and artistry of voguing.
Inspired by Rashaad Newsome’s AR monument, Self Inventions, this series dives into voguing—a dynamic and highly stylized dance form born from Black and Latine LGBTQ+ communities. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their own unique characters, master the art of commanding attention, and enhance their stage presence, drawing from Becky X’s decade of experience in the ballroom scene.
This event will be held on October 8, 15, and 22.
Presented in collaboration with LACMA × Snapchat: Monumental Perspectives.
