Celebrate L.A.’s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from May through October.
This week, join us for a concert with Angel City Jazz Festival with Otmaro Ruiz.
The famed Angel City Jazz Festival kicks off its two-week program with an opening concert at LACMA featuring pianist and composer Otmaro Ruiz. The Venezuelan born musician is known for his versatility and virtuosity. Since his move to Los Angeles in 1989, Ruiz has collaborated with such musicians as Alex Acuna, Dianne Reeves, John McLaughlin, Randy Brecker, and Charlie Haden. The concert will open with the winner of the annual Angel City Jazz Young Artist Competition.
Jazz at LACMA is free and open to all. Seating is limited and first come, first served. Visitors are encouraged to wear face masks in all indoor spaces including restrooms.
