Spend your Saturday evenings with world-renowned artists performing everything from Indigenous music to the latest sounds from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles! These free concerts are presented Saturday evenings from Memorial Day weekend in May to Labor Day weekend in September.
This week, join us for a concert with Candi Sosa.
Vocalist, songwriter and producer Candi Sosa’s long and rich career includes collaborations with such legendary musicians as Celia Cruz, Paquito de Rivera, Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri, Chucho Valdés, the H.M.A Jazz Orquestra and in other circles, with Joan Baez, Jackson Browne, and Bonnie Raitt, to name a few. In 2000 she was asked to record with Grammy nominated Caravana Cubana. Shortly afterwards, a producer picked up Candi's story and offered to film a documentary which would fulfill Candi's lifelong dream: to return to Havana for a performance
at the Tropicana.
Latin Sounds is free and open to all. Seating is limited and first come, first served. Visitors are encouraged to wear face masks in all indoor spaces including restrooms.
