Phil Norman Tentet

Jazz at LACMA closes its 2012 season with the Phil Norman Tentet. For more than fifteen years, this special band picks up where the Birth of the Cool bands left off, while exploring new ideas via the contributions of gifted arrangers and composers, such as Bob Florence, Dave Pell, Alan Broadbent, Roger Neumann, and Kim Richmond, among others. Encore is the Tentet’'s sixth album, following the success of their previous album, which stayed on the Jazz Times Top 50 for an extended run.
