Kevin O'Neal is a Grammy Award–winning bassist and leader of the Kevin O’Neal Group with vocalist Patrice Quinn. The band features outstanding original compositions and champions the compositional works of the great jazz masters Duke Ellington and Thelonius Monk. O’Neal is a writer, arranger, director, and composer known nationally and internationally for his innovation with improvisational-based music. He has lent his talents to diverse artists, including Outkast, Tracy Chapman, The Busboys, Kevin Toney, Nnenna Freelon, Brian Setzer, Anointed, Otis Day, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr., and many others.
