Book Signing: Diana Kennedy
Author Diana Kennedy will sign copies of her recent cookbook Oaxaca al Gusto: An Infinite Gastronomy (University of Texas Press, 2010). Renowned as the "Julia Child of Mexican cooking," Kennedy has studied Mexican cuisine for more than fifty years and has published several books on the subject, including The Essential Cuisines of Mexico, The Art of Mexican Cooking, My Mexico, and From My Mexican Kitchen. Oaxaca al Gusto presents some three-hundred recipes—most from home cooks—for traditional Oaxacan dishes. This program is offered in conjunction with the exhibition Children of the Plumed Serpent: The Legacy of Quetzalcoatl in Ancient Mexico.
