Lecture: Reflection on Buddhist Art of Mainland Southeast Asia, 1800–1900

Held in conjunction with the installation The Way of the Elders: The Buddha in Modern Theravada Traditions on view through April 29, this lecture given by M. L. Pattaratorn Chirapravati, director of the Asian Studies program at California State University–Sacramento, examines offerings to Buddhist temples in Thailand and Myanmar in the nineteenth to twentieth centuries.
