The Body Adorned: To the Divine through Beauty

The Sixth Annual Distinguished Lecture on South and Southeast Asian Art presents Vidya Dehejia, professor of Indian and South Asian art at Columbia University. Author of the book The Body Adorned: Dissolving Boundaries between Sacred and Profane in India’s Art (2009), she will discuss the relationship between art and poetry in Indian culture.
