Andell Family Sundays—Royal Celebrations

Sunday, June 24, 2012 | 12:30 pm

Join us on Sundays for programs designed especially for families. Explore feasting and celebration in the special exhibition Children of the Plumed Serpent: The Legacy of Quetzalcoatl in Ancient Mexico. In dance and art workshops learn how artists in ancient southern Mexico were inspired by the anicent Plumed Serpent god, Quetzalcoatl. Then dance and make music and your own celebratory art!

While you're here, cruise on over to BCAM to see more than a thousand miniature cars zooming through Chris Burden's kinetic sculpture, Metropolis II, which is in action every Sunday at the following times: 12:30–1:30 pm; 2:30–3:30 pm; 4:30–5:30 pm; 6:30–7:30 pm.

North Piazza | Free, with museum admission | 12:30–3:30 pm
